Fairytale Summer Updated

Hey everyone, I was talking about the bubbling of Fairytale Summer and how I might layer it, and I did. I used a cheap dollar store polish (it says light changing polish, but it does not change colors) and immediately, the bubbles disappeared. *poof* I'm loving this layered look! =]

My Own Franken: Fairytale Summer

Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you my own franken, which I named Fairytale Summer, named after SUMMER 09! =] It was truly an amazing summer.

Anyways, since I didn't feel like using the base coat anymore, I dumped it all into a bottle and added different colors to create Fairytale Summer. However, there was bubbling ten minutes after I took the pictures and I might layer it with another polish.

Fairytale Summer was streaky and thick, resulting in 4 thick layers, but I love the end result. It's a very very light pink with a faint shimmer. It just looks so clean and fresh and it's really different than all of my other polishes.

Bubbling Issue Solved!

Hey everyone, today I finally figured out what was causing the bubbling in my manicures. It was the base coat I was using! I was using Nicole by OPI Base Coat. The only way to not get bubbles is to apply a ultra sheer layer and that is something I don't have the patience to do, soooo, does anyone have any base coats they would recommend?

Wet n Wild Minis

Hey everyone! This morning, I was in a pink/red mood, but couldn't decide between the two:



I decided to go with the red, because it's just ah-mazing! It applies really smoothly and only needs one coat!

Hey everyone, this is Zoya Midori. It's a pretty light green with a tinge of yellow. Plus, it has lots of shimmer! This was two coats.

My Sister's Manicure: OPI Blushingham Palace

Hey everyone, here is OPI Blushingham Palace on my sister's nails. It's a close color to my favorite pink hue. This was two coats...I think. (This was a few weeks ago, just found it today!)

Limited Too Nail Polish

Hey everyone! Today I have a funky manicure I did using some really old Limited Too nail polish. Then, I kinda went crazy with the acrylic paint and painted on designs on all of the nails. XD Tada...

Claire's: Periwinkle

Hey everyone! At the mall during CTY, I bought three nail polishes, two from Claire's and one from Sephora. =] This is one I bought from Claire's called Periwinkle. To tell you the truth, I thought it was going to be a obvious duochrome, except it's actually a blue-ish purple base with tons of sparkle. The sparkles are duochrome, turning blue to purple. I had to use four coats, but I really like this color!

My Manicure!

Hey everyone! Well, at CTY, we went to the mall, and guess what, I got a manicure there! I wasn't especially happy with the service, but I liked the finished effect. =] I layered this sparkly light blue over a darker metallic hue. (This is what I mean by a short post. ;] )

Yet Another Craze Break: Yellowstone National Park

Hey everyone, sorry for not posting! I had to unpack and then pack again for my trip to Yellowstone! Busy, busy. whew.

Also, I'm currently debating whether or not to continue this blog. I might put it on temporary break until I have time to continue to post. Thank you all for making my blog experience enjoyable! Or, I might just post pictures and a short description. Regardless, I hope everyone has a good summer!

Wet n Wild Mini

Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you one of my favorite pinks. I got it in a Wet n Wild set that had 10 mini bottles in it. However, they were all unnamed.


This pink is gorgeous and very flattering. In the picture, it looks really bland and boring, but in real life, it's a bright metallic pink. I hate pink, but I actually like this color.

Zoya Chelsea...again, with a twist. =]

Hey everyone, today I'm showing you Zoya Chelsea...again. However, this time, I decided to make it into a funky french.


All of the pictures I've taken of Chelsea don't show it's true color or finish. It looks almost like a jelly in the pictures, but it's actually a very bright red metallic. My dad hates it because he says it's too bold and "reminds him of blood." XD, however, I like it a ton, and that's why I'm wearing it again. =]

My Own Franken: Galaxy

Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you another one of my own frankens, called Galaxy. Galaxy started out as a dark purple I made with many different colors. Then, I added some glitter to it from this little box thing I found in my cabinet. I had no idea how it would turn out, but I really like it. =]

Galaxy has a deep almost black purple base with a little glitter. Please click on the photos!

My Sister's Manicure: SH Salon Shooting Star with Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope

Hey everyone! I promised better pictures of SH Salon Shooting Star, so here it is on my sister's nails along with Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope. I got Kaleidoscope the same time I got Caribbean Frost. =]


I really like how Shooting Star and Kaleidoscope look together. Now, instead of being very sheer, Shooting Star is a good base and with the glitter from Kaleidoscope, it looks fabulous!

Chanel: Electra

Hey everyone! Today, I'm showing you Chanel Electra borrowed from my nail polish buddy Sonali! =] She traded her nail polish for the summer reading book Silas Marner, which I had.


Anyways, Chanel Electra is very very sheer and good for using on a French mani. However, I just showed it to you with one coat. You can't really see the true color in these pictures. Sorry, my photo taking skills stink and the camera isn't helping either. Chanel Electra is actually almost a clear base with tons of red shimmer. In some of the photographs, you can see the red shimmer in the bottle. I love it, and I'm going to borrow it again. Thanks Sonali! <3


This is Electra in a French manicure. I really like it because it looks classy and professional. Sorry, I free-handed the white, so it's kinda messy.

French Manicure and Zoya Bailey

Hey everyone! Today I'm showing you Zoya Bailey, and also Zoya Bailey in a french manicure.




This is one coat of Zoya Bailey, and my pictures are horrible, sorry. The camera just wouldn't capture the color. In real life, one coat of Bailey is like a sprinkling of shimmer on your nails. It's really pretty.


Since I can't leave a manicure alone, I tried it as a french manicure, even though it wasn't made to be that way. However, I like it. It looks rather interesting. =] This is actually three coats of Bailey...I think.

Craze Break: CTY!

Hey everyone, going to take another Craze Break. This time, it's for summer camp. =] Sleep-away summer camp!

It's the summer program many people call CTY. It's the program from John Hopkins University. I'm so excited, because everyone that goes there says it's TONS of fun! Three weeks worth of new experiences, learning stuff (blah), and hopefully new friendships. =]

Well, I'll see everyone in 3 weeks! I scheduled some posts, but I'm not sure if it'll work or not, so worst case, there will just be a huge bombardment of posts when I get back.
