Claire's: Periwinkle
Hey everyone! At the mall during CTY, I bought three nail polishes, two from Claire's and one from Sephora. =] This is one I bought from Claire's called Periwinkle. To tell you the truth, I thought it was going to be a obvious duochrome, except it's actually a blue-ish purple base with tons of sparkle. The sparkles are duochrome, turning blue to purple. I had to use four coats, but I really like this color!

My Sister's Manicure: SH Diamond Strength: Platinum
Hey everyone! Today, I painted my sister's nails SH Diamond Stregth Platinum.

There were only two things that bothered me. First, thhe formula was runny. The polish was dripping down the brush as I was trying to paint my sister's nails. However, it's easy to get used to. The second thing was, BUBBLES! When the polish dried, there were TONS of bubbles! Lately, I've been having issues with bubbling. I'm going to investigate further to see if anything helps. =]

Platinum is this pearly white with a pink and green duchrome. (sorry, couldn't photograph the duochrome, my sister was being a pain and didn't want to take any more pictures) It's very wearable, and it doesn't look like white-out on your fingers. I prefer whites with some shimmer compared to white cremes. If you want to try the white trend, this soft pretty shade is for you.
I wanted to play around with the acrylic, so I gave her this funky french of pearly white and almost matte white. It actually looked pretty cool. However, after a few days, the acrylic started chipping off slightly. I did put a coat of top coat over it, though. Maybe next time I'll use two coats of top coat for extra protection.
Overall, I really like this color. Plus, it's not expensive at all. =] Love Platinum!

Zoya Tallulah
Hey everyone! Today I have Zoya Tallulah to show you guys. It's from the Ooh-La-La Collection, which is one of the 2009 Summer collections.

Anyways, Tallulah is a GORGEOUS color! It's this shimmer-y blue that seems like it has a ton of depth. It's like looking into a never ending lake or river. However, it was more runny than I excepted, so please excuse the messy manicure.
Also, I introduced the Acrylic Concept a few weeks ago. Well, today, I finally tested it out. Acrylic is actually fairly easy to work with. All you need is the paint and a small brush. The brush will make or break you, just saying. =]. If you mess up, all you have to do is wash it off quickly, because once it dries it doesn't come off. Overall, I think I'll do more with acrylic.

In the picture, it shows Tallulah darker than it is in real life. (this picture stinks, and I will redo it sometime later, =]) Tallulah is lighter and slightly more vibrant than in the picture. On my ring finger, I experimented with acrylic. Can't say that it's the best design, but I was trying to figure out how to work the brush so that it would look good on the nail. XD
P.S. Another bonus is that Zoya Nail Polishes last for a really long time! It stayed on for an entire week, and that's a long time considering most of my manicures start chipping after three or four days.

Acrylic Paint on Nails
Hey everyone! =]
Well, if you paint, you'll know that once acrylic paint dries on your nails, it doesn't come off. I know that from experience, ruined a perfectly good manicure. =[. Anyways, that got me thinking. I could use acrylic paint to do all sorts of crazy designs. Or, I could use it as an actual color.
In order for the acrylic to stay on your nails, you have to first do a layer of Base Coat, and then the acrylic paint, and then a top coat over it.
Stick around for more posts to come about acrylic!
